Stylish weddings aren't necessarily a result of big décor or expensive 'stuff'. True wedding style can often be seen in the smallest of details - the details that mean something to you, and that sometimes, no one but you ever sees.

Here's a few of our favourite details, chosen from thousands of Toronto wedding photos (courtesy of Maya Photography) to inspire you.

12 to 24 Months Ahead:

Too early

JenandKev: "Hi, Kevin and I are getting married in April 2008. Do you think it's too early to start seeing photographers and florists and all that? I would love have everything arranged, so I can chill when the day comes. Does anyone have any suggestions for photographers? Thanks, Jen"

It's natural for couples who are planning a summer wedding to feel panic set in as they watch temperatures reach record highs and the UV Index go off the chart...

Have no fear! Most weddings are held almost entirely indoors, WITH air-conditioning and have no cause for concern.

There are only a few times when you will really encounter the heat...

outdoor photo shoots outdoor receiving lines indoor or outdoor locations without air conditioning (usually the ceremony location)

Here are some tips for staying cool at your heat wave wedding...

bring a cooler with bottled water, fruits and veggies for down-time sustenance, and a few ice packs to keep both you and your food cool (keep your cooler in the limo for less hassle)

use your air-conditioned limousine to cool off in between events

pack deodorant in your bridal emergency kit

if your indoor location has no A/C, consider renting large fans to cool your space

consider a gown with a detachable train for less weight

gather your locks together in an 'up do'

select a veil that can be detached from the clip or tiara
