Florian Photography puts his focus on capturing real people in each image
From a wonderful
old farmhouse in Maple, just north of Toronto, Florian Photography
works to capture wedding days with an approach all his own. Florian
appears to use an artistic approach to posed shots, with images
appearing amidst a variety of special effects. Florian says that he
specializes in taking candid photographs, and that this is what he
enjoys doing most.
Personally speaking...
Florian has been
involved in Art and Photography for thirty years. In Romania, his
profession was Photo Chemistry, followed by sixteen years of
professional photography.
Now, from his
Maple home, Florian uses his love for photography to creating artistic, 'dream-like' photos to document
engagements, weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs. He also finds himself
doing a fair number of maternity and child portraits as well.
Style
Florian doesn't
believe in creating 'stiff portraits'. "It needs to be natural," he
explains. "My photos focus on real people, capturing the unique
expressions and intimate looks that reveal the inner feelings of the
subjects." He shoots in black and white as well as colour, paying a
lot of attention to light. He loves to get 'motion shots' as well.
For Florian,
wedding photography is an opportunity to meet people during some of
the happiest times in their lives and share those important moments.
"I love what I do and I do what I love," he says.
Finding the chemistry
Florian likes to
begin by meeting with couples to break down any barriers and make
sure that you connect with him. He wants to hear your desires and
dreams and get to know you as a couple. There has to be chemistry
between him and you to capture the right look, he explains.
Next, he'll do an
engagement shoot, often choosing a setting that reflects your
personality and lifestyle. This is a chance for you to see the kind
of work he produces and find out if you feel comfortable in front of
his camera. For Florian, the engagement shoot is an opportunity to
discover the way to photograph you best. He says that getting the
right shot also comes from using intuition and technique.
A Florian wedding day
For the wedding
itself, he'll spend the whole day with you. He goes with the flow of
events, using different styles and approaches to capture all the
special moments.
Finishing touches
Florian says his
business is built on professionalism, reliability and artistic
excellence. His wife, Cristina, who is also an artist, often helps
Florian with weddings. Together they strive to deliver images that
meet all your expectations.
Florian provides
a variety of image options including prints, customized albums,
coffee table books, picture matting and framing.
The essential details
Florian usually
books his weddings a year to a year and a half in advance and
suggests that brides call as far ahead as possible, but all
inquiries are welcome.
His minimum
package is $3000 with a lot of different ways to work with
additional options. Florian can also recommend videographers if you
are looking to have both video and photo documentation of your
wedding day.
